... growing up without ever knowing your parents. The closest thing to a family you know is the family that lives in the same house as you- except you are not part of that family. You are just a house worker that lives under the same roof. Or imagine growing up in the countryside in a family that is struggling to provide daily food. One day you go to the city to try to find work and you are offered a job at a hotel or restaurant. Then you are pressured into selling your body so that you can earn more money, otherwise you will lose your job. In both of these situations you feel trapped and worthless. There is no end in sight…
These are familiar stories. Several young women in our program identify with them. They each have their own story; however, they have made the choice to change the ending after given an opportunity. God is using GPM and Homes of Hope as a light in a dark world. We have seen God change lives and are excited to be able to continue offering that opportunity for young women to change their stories- to leave a life of darkness.

How did Gospel Passion Ministries come about? In 2017, God called Stephen, Ubah, and their kids to Ethiopia to help girls out of prostitution. There, they partnered with the local church, opening a ministry that helped several girls leave a life of prostitution or domestic slavery. Stephen and his family moved to the US after a year and a half, while continuing to support ministry efforts back in Ethiopia. In 2020, God led them to form Gospel Passion Ministries, Inc. with the hope to grow the ministry for girls in Ethiopia, and ultimately grow the Kingdom of God!
